How to apply for a lawyer
An individual must be eligible for a lawyer. Eligibility will be determined based on household income and assets. Visit one of our district offices where a Client Services Agent will ask a series of questions in order to complete the eligibility application. The items required to process an application (one application per case) are proof of income, if married, spouses income is required as well, court paperwork, and a $10.00 non-refundable application fee (exact amount only).
